Dog Bite Cases. Dogs bite thousands of Americans every year. Many of these cases arise from dog owners' failures to leash or contain their dogs, and the results can often be tragic. Pain, suffering, infection, scarring, disfigurement and even death can result from a dog attack. Georgia law is specific concerning the ability of a person injured in a dog attack to recover damages. Generally, the dog must be known to be "vicious," which means that it has previously attacked a person. If this dangerous propensity cannot be shown, an injured person may recover if the dog owner failed to follow a leash law or ordinance, allowing the attack to occur.

If you or a loved one have received injuries as a result of a dog attack, call us. We will meet with you and determine whether your claim is viable under Georgia law, and what to expect if you assert a claim. The typical insurance company reaction to a dog bite claim is to simply deny liability. Don't take "no" for an answer.
